Aurora Solar Technologies Announces Board of Directors and Management Changes

North Vancouver, BC, January 3, 2019 – Aurora Solar Technologies Inc. (TSX.V: ACU) (the “Company”) announces Board of Directors and management changes.

 

Effective January 1, 2019, the Company is pleased to announce the appointment of Viktoriya Griffin, CPA, CA as the Company’s Chief Financial Officer. Viktoriya replaces Grant Smith in this role.

 

Viktoriya brings over a decade of experience to her role. She started her career by leading audit and assurance services for public companies with large international accounting firms, including Deloitte in the UK and E&Y in Canada. Most recently, she led the CFO services line at Clearline CPA, a firm providing professional accounting services to public and private companies. She is also an active supporter of her community as a Board member and the Chair of the Audit and Finance Committee of Habitat for Humanity of Greater Vancouver.

 

The Company also announces the appointment of Gordon Deans, President and Chief Executive Officer to the Board of Directors. Gordon was appointed on December 21, 2018 at the Company’s annual general meeting. Effective on the same date, Michael Heaven resigned from the Board of Directors. The company would like to thank Michael for his service on the board since 2011 and wishes him well in his future endeavors.

 

The Company has also granted stock options to key employees to acquire 100,000 shares exercisable at $0.065 for a period of five years.
